Role Description The Environmental Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for supporting Outgreens environmental and waste management initiatives. The role involves monitoring and evaluating environmental performance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, and contributing to the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures. Day-to-day tasks include conducting environmental assessments, preparing reports and documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and recommending improvements to minimize environmental impact. The Environmental Specialist will also help promote environmental awareness and best practices across operations to support Outgreens sustainability goals.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Environmental Science and practical experience in environmental assessment or analysis.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environmental Compliance and Environmental Policy, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards.
• Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise, including familiarity with risk assessment and safe operational practices.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to field conditions in Cairo.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Prior experience in waste management, sustainability projects, or environmental consulting is an advantage.
