The job holder is responsible for supporting the business in achieving strategic objectives through key projects and programs. This includes working closely with the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy to define, implement, and continuously enhance project management processes, standards, and governance across the organization, while driving successful outcomes on complex, cross functional projects and strategic initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise designing and implementing Project Management tools and methodologies.
- Maintain and track progress of individual projects across key milestones and tasks, overall costs, risk and issues, budget, etc.
- Track and report key project and program metrics, including budget, schedule deviations and key operating metrics.
- Review and facilitate document sign-off and approval processes for project deliverables.
- Supervise solutions and problem-solving sessions with functional experts to deliver key outcomes.
- Facilitate full status reporting cycles and steering committee meetings between projects owners and Leadership team.
- Ensure key outcomes are met across multi-functional programs and projects.
- Provide guidance in identification and tracking of RAIDDs (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions and Dependencies) and act in a proactive way.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure key project outcomes are achieved.
- Observe the highest level of discretion, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive project or portfolio related information whilst engaging key project stakeholders.
- Optimize the use of personal and team time/effort in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of trends in the market and provide advice to leadership on potential initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, or any technical field.
Master's degree is a plus.
Relevant professional certificates such as (Lean, Project Management, etc.) is preferred
Experience & Skills:
5-6 years experience in project management (PMO)/ strategic management (SMO) role.
Experience working as a project manager, and leading projects and complex business transformation initiatives.
Experience in the design and implementation of project management and PMO processes from the bottom up.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Prince2, Agile and or PMP.
Strong commercial, financial and business acumen. Demonstrated proficiency on project management software.
Strong project management skills and functional leadership (PMO) on complex cross-functional business initiatives, including but not limited to project or program definition, stakeholder management, issue tracking and resolution, reporting, budgeting and so on.
