Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Equipment & Maintenance Manager to oversee the full lifecycle management, performance, and maintenance of our heavy equipment and vehicle fleet across construction and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role is based in Riyadh and requires regular travel to project sites as per operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Fleet Strategy & Operations

  • Develop and implement fleet management strategies aligned with project execution schedules.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure maximum availability and efficiency.
  • Standardize fleet operating procedures across all project sites.

2- Maintenance Management

  • Establish and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise workshops and manage third-party maintenance service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment condition and maintenance quality.

3- Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee equipment procurement, utilization, replacement, retirement, and disposal.
  • Monitor asset depreciation and recommend fleet renewal strategies based on operational requirements.

4- Cost Control & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage fleet OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
  • Control fuel consumption, repair costs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior management.

5- Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi regulations, including traffic, MOT, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle registration, insurance, and licensing.

6- Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate mechanics, operators, and support teams.
  • Develop training programs focused on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.

7- Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and logistics teams to align fleet resources with project demands.
  • Liaise with clients such as Aramco or similar entities to ensure fleet compliance when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Technology or related field.
  • 1215 years of experience in fleet and equipment management, preferably within roads, bridges, or infrastructure contracting.
  • Strong experience managing heavy equipment in project-based environments.
  • Previous Aramco experience is highly preferred.
  • Saudi National preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the Kingdom as required.

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of equipment lifecycle and cost optimization.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
