Job Description

Job Title: ERP Supply Chain Specialist

Job Purpose

The ERP Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain modules in alignment with operational needs. Working closely with the centralized ERP team in Finance, the role ensures Supply Chain processes are properly mapped, automated, and enhanced within the ERP ecosystem. This position acts as a key functional bridge between Supply Chain operations and the ERP core team to deliver seamless system performance, business continuity, and process optimization across procurement, warehousing, and inventory management. Additionally, candidates with analytics skills and ability to build comprehensive business-ready dashboards is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

ERP System Configuration & Support

  • Configure and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules related to Procurement, Inventory, Product Information, Sales, and Warehouse.
  • Ensure ERP workflows reflect business requirements and operational realities.
  • Collaborate with the Finance-based ERP Solutions Architect on core system changes and version upgrades.
  • Document configuration changes, SOPs, and test scripts.

Process Alignment & Optimization

  • Map supply chain processes to ERP workflows with minimal manual intervention.
  • Recommend improvements in form design, workflows, and automation rules.
  • Actively participate in UAT, regression testing, and system releases in coordination with Finance and Technology.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Support master data governance and validate records for items, suppliers, and locations.
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports using D365 and Excel to support operational planning.
  • Ensure data integrity across multiple modules and functions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the Supply Chain liaison for ERP with Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and the Technology teams.
  • Align closely with the ERP Solutions Architect to ensure consistency in system architecture and governance.
  • Support onboarding and training sessions for local supply chain and warehouse users.
  • Monitor helpdesk tickets related to supply chain ERP usage and escalate technical issues as needed.

User Enablement & Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver user training, troubleshoot functional issues, and serve as the first line of support.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge and system adoption across end users.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain updates and share impact assessments with internal stakeholders.

Data Analytics

  • Partner with internal data teams to migrate D365 data sources to internal data warehouse
  • Maintain data integrity between different data sources by closely monitoring and supporting data teams with fixes
  • Analyze and deep dive into large datasets to provide key insights and findings
  • Build comprehensive reports on Metabase/PowerBI, helping teams with data driven decisions
  • Should have basic SQL knowledge

Stay updated on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain updates and share impact assessments with internal stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • 35 years of experience in ERP systems with a focus on supply chain modules (preferably D365).
  • Hands-on experience in module configuration, testing, or rollout support.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations in procurement, inventory, or warehouse contexts.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in D365 Supply Chain modules
  • Strong Excel and ERP reporting knowledge
  • PowerBI/Metabase dashboarding and SQL knowledge
  • Ability to document workflows, config, and user guides

Soft Skills:

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and issue resolution
  • Problem-solving mindset with a process improvement lens
