Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ESG Lead to support our corporate sustainability and ESG agenda. Based in Egypt, this role will work closely with our teams across Saudi Arabia and subsidiaries to drive ESG initiatives that align with our business strategy and long-term sustainability ambitions.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, highly collaborative, and passionate about advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. This role is responsible for developing and implementing ESG initiatives, overseeing ESG reporting and disclosures, and supporting the integration of sustainability across the organization.

As the ESG Lead, you will serve as an internal ESG champion, promoting awareness of sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices while ensuring compliance with relevant ESG reporting frameworks, including Saudi Tadawul, GRI, WEF, SASB, CDP, and other applicable standards.

Working closely with business units and subsidiaries, you will lead ESG data collection, reporting, environmental impact measurement, and sustainability initiatives that support the company's long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's ESG strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, Saudi Vision 2030, and global sustainability best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ESG regulations and sustainability requirements, including CMA and other relevant institutional policies.
  • Monitor regional and international ESG regulations, trends, and emerging best practices.
  • Prepare ESG disclosures, sustainability reports, and stakeholder communications in accordance with recognized reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, WEF, and Saudi Tadawul requirements).
  • Develop periodic ESG reports and regulatory filings.
  • Lead ESG data collection, validation, analysis, and performance reporting across the organization.
  • Integrate ESG metrics into the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
  • Support ESG risk assessments and collaborate with ERM teams to incorporate sustainability risks into the corporate risk framework.
  • Coordinate with regulators, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders regarding ESG reporting and performance.
  • Drive initiatives related to carbon reduction, energy efficiency, water stewardship, waste reduction, and circular economy practices.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to ESG and governance regulations.
  • Facilitate internal ESG audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop long-term environmental strategies addressing climate, energy, water, waste, products, and supply chain sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to strengthen responsible sourcing and sustainable procurement practices.
  • Lead the company's annual ESG reporting process and sustainability disclosures.
  • Represent the company in sustainability initiatives and engage with external stakeholders on ESG matters.
  • Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities to improve ESG performance.
  • Drive the achievement of recognized ESG certifications, awards, and sustainability benchmarks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB, CDP, and CMA requirements.
  • Experience preparing ESG reports and managing sustainability data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or diversified business environments.
  • Previous experience working in complex corporate organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • GRI Professional Certification or equivalent ESG certification.
  • Additional sustainability or climate-related professional certifications are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with one of the Big Four accounting or consulting firms is considered a strong advantage.

Additional Information

  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
  • This position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and supports the company's operations across Saudi Arabia.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and internationally as business needs require.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Vision 2030 and its alignment with ESG and sustainability practices is a strong advantage.
