Job Description

Job Purpose :

  • Implement the Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) system across relevant business lines and ensure the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks including both physical and climate-related risksinto the company's overall risk management framework.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Apply and oversee the Environmental & Social Risk Management (ESRM) system in line with international best practices and internal policies across all business lines to establish a consistent and effective process for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating environmental and social risks associated with transactions, investments, and operations.
  • Conduct thorough ESG due diligence, including environmental and social risk screening, categorization, and analysis of counterparties, transactions, and projects to provide risk- informed insights that support ethical, responsible, and sustainable decision-making while minimizing the company's ESG exposure.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor climate-related risksboth physical risks and transition risks within the enterprise risk framework to ensure that climate risk is proactively managed as a core business risk, enabling resilience and alignment with climate-related regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate with credit risk, legal, compliance, and business teams to embed ESG considerations into investment and credit decision-making to promote shared accountability and collaborative implementation of ESG standards across the organization.
  • Ensure ESG and climate risk assessments are embedded in core risk processes, including credit approval, portfolio review, and the risk appetite framework to institutionalize ESG risk management into operational workflows, strengthening governance and decision quality.
  • Monitor ESG risk exposure across the portfolio and prepare reports in line with regulatory and voluntary disclosure standards such as TCFD, EU Taxonomy, and national ESG regulations to maintain transparency and compliance while supporting strategic ESG objectives through reliable risk data and insights.
  • Support awareness and capability building across departments by providing ESG-related training and developing risk tools, guidance notes, and methodologies to ensure consistent ESG literacy and effective application of risk tools among business units and control functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related technical discipline.
  • +5 years of experience ESG risk, sustainability, environmental or social due diligence, or enterprise risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and a systems-thinking mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong Knowledge of climate risk modeling or environmental impact assessment is a plus.
  • Ability to develop ESG frameworks, tools, and training materials.
  • Strong report writing and data interpretation capabilities.
  • Excellent Command of English Language.
