Estimation Engineer

Job Purpose-

Responsible for Co-ordination and preparation of accurate forecasting based on project scope and will be involved in the preparation of Change orders, Client Reporting and Invoicing of major Renewable / Offshore / FPSO / Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Day to Day activities-

• Setup, Prepare and Maintain Cost & Estimation Breakdown Structure (CBS) for the project.

• Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the EPC Project Controls department/section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

• To support tenders for EPC projects, as and when required.

• Forecast the Estimate At Completion (EAC) including Revenue and Profit of the Project.

• Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.

• Prepare and submit Client reports based on the contractual requirements.

• Prepare and report Man hour forecasting for Engineering & Construction in coordination with respective departments.

• Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status.

• Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and schedule.

• Prepare financial summary for projects for Management reporting.

• Prepare and settle invoices with acceptable profit margins.

• Maximise project profit by close monitoring of costs and prepare invoices for all works done.

• Preparation of Cash Flow / Cash Forecast for the Project / Tender.

• Ensure high level of customer satisfaction and create a good relationship with Client's representatives

• Adhere to OH&S, Environment and Quality Management System

• Work closely with project controls manager, project director, commercial team members, and other project team members.

Technical competencies-

• Knowledge and experience Offshore EPC projects.

• Able to negotiate with a range of professionals, make accurate time and cost estimates, and resolve any issues that arise.

• Advanced computer skills and demonstrable competency.

• Project Management and Contract negotiation skills.

Education & Experience-

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience in Oil & Gas / Offshore projects.
• Extensive experience as Cost/ Estimation Engineer in EPC projects with at least 10 plus years of experience.
