Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work and contract requirements for glazing and cladding projects.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for aluminium, glass, cladding panels, profiles, accessories, fixings, sealants, insulation and related materials.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, labour, fabrication, installation, equipment, logistics, subcontractors, testing and other project costs.
- Develop project-specific pricing based on approved specifications, design requirements, construction methods and commercial assumptions.
- Analyse architectural, structural and façade drawings to identify quantities, interfaces, design requirements and potential scope gaps.
- Review façade, glazing, curtain wall and cladding system requirements and identify suitable systems and materials for pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure quotations are aligned with project specifications and required quantities.
- Prepare RFQs and coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to obtain competitive and technically compliant prices.
- Check supplier quotations for scope coverage, exclusions, lead times, validity, delivery terms and technical compliance.
- Calculate material wastage, fabrication allowances, installation requirements and other relevant cost factors.
- Prepare detailed estimation sheets, rate build-ups, BOQs, comparison sheets and commercial summaries.
- Identify exclusions, qualifications, assumptions, risks and commercial clarifications before submission of the quotation.
- Coordinate with Design / Engineering to clarify technical requirements, drawings, system selections and design assumptions.
- Support value engineering and alternative material/system proposals to improve cost competitiveness while maintaining technical compliance.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide technical and commercial input when required.
- Assist the Commercial / Sales team in preparing quotations, tender submissions and revisions.
- Review client and consultant clarifications, addenda and revised drawings and update estimates accordingly.
- Maintain proper records of tender documents, quotations, supplier prices, estimation revisions and approved commercial assumptions.
- Support post-tender negotiations, clarification of rates and preparation of revised commercial offers.
- Compare estimated costs against actual project costs and provide feedback to improve future estimation accuracy.
- Monitor market prices and maintain updated cost data for aluminium, glass, cladding, accessories, labour and subcontract works.
- Ensure all estimates are prepared in accordance with company procedures, approval requirements and delegated authority.
- Ensure all tender information is treated confidentially and commercially sensitive information is properly controlled.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Estimation / Commercial Department.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Estimation Manager, Division Manager or General Manager.

Qualifications
Essential: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Desirable: Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Cost Management or relevant façade/glazing certification.
