Role and Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project scope, requirements, and critical items.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil, infrastructure, and road works (earthworks, asphalt, utilities, drainage, etc.).
- Analyze time, labor, equipment, and material costs to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Coordinate with procurement and subcontractors to obtain quotations and verify pricing consistency.
- Prepare and update BOQs and cost breakdowns for tender submissions.
- Collaborate with planning, and project teams to ensure estimates reflect actual project conditions and construction methodology.
- Develop cost comparison reports between tender, actual, and historical data for future pricing reference.
- Evaluate value engineering and cost optimization options to improve project competitiveness.
- Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings with clients and consultants.
- Ensure timely submission of technical and commercial proposals.
- Maintain and update a database of material, equipment, and labor rates.
- Track awarded projects to compare estimated vs. actual costs for continuous improvement.
Qualifications Requirements
- 4 years experience in a similar position in Roads and Infrastructure projects.
- Ability to operate independently while being an effective team member
- Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
