We are looking for an Estimation Engineer for one of our clients in the Interior Fit-Out industry.

* Candidate must be currently based in the UAE
JOB PURPOSE
Estimation Engineer is responsible for reading and analyzing of blue prints, specifications and proposals. Preparing/developing of accurate time, cost, material and labor estimates for ongoing projects based on company standards and suppliers/subcontractors offers and tenders requirements for the client
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/TASKS
- Conducts initial tender document study, prepare/list the tender details/requirements such as Project Brief.
- Reviews/studies the tender documents, raise queries/clarifications to the client/consultant, if required. Identify the suppliers for each trade/work packages/items from the approved supplier's list and send request for proposal to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Researches vendor cost by reviewing, analyzing and comparing quotations received from suppliers/subcontractors.
- Studies the Qualifications/exclusions from supplier/subcontractor, compile all qualifications/ exclusions and review with Project Manager.
- Identifies/Considers Value Engineering Options and prepare pricing/estimate for the same.
- Preparation of final bid by pricing the BOQ and developing cost estimates for each project
- Prepares accurate tender cost estimate using company standard data, quantities from the tender documents and prices from suppliers.
- Prepares the final bid by pricing the BOQ and prepare the technical tender documents (tender qualifications) for submission
- Prepares responses for the post tender clarification and conduct value engineering exercise, if required.
- Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope.
- Determines required but non indicated scope through the analysis of site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.) Coordinates between subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants), and client for better understanding of scope of works.
- Ensures that subcontracted activities are carried out following specifications in the purchase order/contract.
- Attends meetings and preparing weekly/monthly report as required by company
- Conducts site visit and measurement survey as per project requirement.
- Accurate documentation and maintenance of project records.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor/Diploma in Civil Engineer or Estimating
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Fluency in English a pre-requisite. Another language/s is a plus
