Role Description The Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and BOQs for structural steel and related fabrication projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure realistic and competitive estimates. The role involves conducting market research on materials and subcontractor pricing, participating in bid preparation, and supporting negotiation with suppliers and clients. The Estimation Engineer also tracks project costs versus estimates, updates cost databases, and contributes to continuous improvement of estimation processes to support efficient project planning and execution.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in BOQ preparation and Project Estimation for structural steel and industrial projects.
- Background in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline, with understanding of construction and fabrication methods.
- Ability to conduct detailed Research on material prices, market trends, and subcontractor rates.
- Negotiation skills for engaging with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on pricing and terms.
- Experience with CAD tools and estimation software; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to work with complex technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, on-site industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; experience in steel fabrication or construction estimation is preferred.
