Our client, a well-established main contractor based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Estimation Manager to lead their tendering and pre-contract activities across a portfolio of building projects.
This is a senior role suited to a commercially astute professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in the UAE construction market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full estimating function for tenders from pre-qualification through to final submission
- Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, and tender estimates for large-scale building projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities
- Manage and mentor a team of estimators and support staff
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Work closely with commercial, technical, and operations teams during bid strategy development
- Ensure tenders are submitted on time and in line with company standards and commercial objectives
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1015 years experience in estimating within a main contracting environment
- Proven experience delivering UAE-based building projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction methods, procurement routes, and market pricing
- Experience managing and leading estimating teams
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
