Estimator cum Quantity Surveyor

Role Description This full-time Estimator cum Quantity Surveyor role is an on-site position based in Dubai. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for renovation projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design specifications. The Estimator cum Quantity Surveyor will review drawings and specifications, obtain and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations, and assist in tender preparation and submissions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.

2. Perform detailed quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings, PDFs, and design packages.

3. Prepare detailed cost estimates for:

• Villa and apartment renovations
• Commercial fit-out projects
• Kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, vanities, and custom joinery works
• Swimming pools, landscaping, pergolas, and external works
• Flooring works, gypsum works, bathroom renovations, and MEP-related works

4. Analyze drawings, renders, and specifications to identify all project cost components.

5. Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

6. Coordinate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams.

7. Prepare commercial proposals, BOQs, and tender submissions.

8. Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, and commercial risks during the tender stage.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.

2. Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in estimating and quantity surveying.

3. Proven UAE experience pricing both interior fit-out and custom joinery works.

4. Strong experience preparing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and design packages.

5. Strong understanding of UAE construction methods, supplier pricing, subcontractor rates, and market trends.

6. Ability to independently prepare complete project estimates from concept stage through tender submission.

7. Ability to read and interpret architectural, joinery, structural, and MEP drawings.

8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

9. Strong communication and coordination skills.
