The Estimator – Interior Fit-Out is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for interior fit-out and turnkey projects. The role involves reviewing tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, analysing project costs, and supporting the pre-contract team to secure profitable projects while ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for architectural, interior fit-out, joinery, finishing, and MEP works.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender pricing for commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and office fit-out projects.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost breakdowns based on project scope.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate commercial offers, and negotiate pricing.
- Analyse project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, technical, and project teams during the tender stage.
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and tender clarification meetings.
- Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, bid documents, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and update cost databases, supplier pricing, and historical project cost records.
- Assist in preparing project budgets and feasibility studies.
- Support contract negotiations and provide post-tender clarifications.
- Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Participate in project handover meetings with the operations team after project award.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4–7 years of experience in estimating interior fit-out projects within the UAE/GCC.
Experience in turnkey interior fit-out, joinery, and refurbishment projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, and finishes.
Expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
