The venue features nine cinema screens, three of which are adaptable for live events, performances, gala nights, and theatrical productions. With a private members club housing a piano, a licensed bar, and three state-of-the-art kitchens, Cinemacity offers a dynamic platform for curated cultural, artistic, and entertainment programming.
Role Overview
Cinemacity is seeking an experienced and well-connected Events & Entertainment Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of a diverse events calendar. This role is responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing artists and performers, with a strong emphasis on building long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with operational expertise, ensuring all events align with Cinemacity's brand while meeting regulatory requirements and driving commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Artist & Talent Procurement
- Identify, source, and secure high-quality performers, artists, and entertainment acts.
- Negotiate and establish long-term contracts and partnerships.
- Maintain and grow a strong network within the entertainment and cultural sectors.
Event Programming & Execution
- Develop a year-round events calendar including live performances, gala nights, theatrical productions, and private events.
- Curate experiences across multiple spaces within the venue, including cinema screens, the private members club, and F&B areas.
- Oversee end-to-end event execution, ensuring seamless delivery and high production standards.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Manage all necessary permits and approvals with the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) in Abu Dhabi.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, licensing requirements, and venue regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align on event promotions, campaigns, and audience engagement strategies.
- Coordinate with operations, F&B, and technical teams to deliver cohesive event experiences.
- Support branding and positioning efforts through innovative programming.
Budgeting & Commercial Performance
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor ticket sales, attendance, and overall event performance.
- Identify revenue opportunities through partnerships, sponsorships, and premium experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience (5+ years) in events management, entertainment programming, or talent booking.
- Strong network within the regional entertainment industry.
- Experience negotiating artist contracts and managing long-term partnerships.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi's regulatory landscape, particularly DCT processes.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
