We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to the Principal to provide comprehensive executive support to our Principal and Senior Leadership Team.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant who enjoys working at the centre of a busy and dynamic school, managing multiple priorities while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Overview

The Executive Assistant will act as the Principal's trusted professional partner, ensuring the smooth operation of the Principal's office and supporting strategic priorities across the school.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage highly confidential information with absolute discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Principal's complex diary and schedule.
  • Coordinate meetings, events and appointments.
  • Prepare agendas, reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Minute Senior Leadership, Executive Leadership and Board meetings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate confidential communications on behalf of the Principal.
  • Manage governance documentation and Board administration.
  • Support school improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Liaise with parents, governors, staff and external organisations.
  • Ensure effective document management and record keeping.
  • Support whole-school events and leadership administration.
  • Anticipate the Principal's needs and proactively resolve issues.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and professionalism.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Significant experience supporting a senior executive.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills.
  • Experience preparing professional reports, presentations, posters using Canva.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a school environment.
  • Experience supporting a Principal, CEO or Executive Director.
  • Governance or Board administration experience.
  • Knowledge of school management systems.
