About the Role

We are currently looking for Executive Chef to join our team at Drift Dubai! Lead our kitchen team, drive culinary excellence and deliver world class dining experiences.

About Drift Dubai:

DRIFT Restaurant showcases an innovative take on classic French cuisine. An emphasis on the finest organic ingredients, freshness and simplicity delivers a culinary indulgence, complemented by an innovative cocktail and wine menu.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Control kitchen costs to meet budget targets and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee kitchen maintenance, repairs, and related expenses.
  • Manage ordering and receiving of food products and supplies for daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Supervise and actively participate in the preparation and production of all food items.
  • Guarantee consistency in recipes, portioning, cooking, and presentation standards.
  • Inspect food quality during and after preparation, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment in excellent condition through inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Plan and develop creative menus in coordination with management.
  • Accommodate guest requests and dietary requirements with professionalism.
  • Partner with HR to recruit and assess kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with Operations and HR to implement kitchen developments and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager to achieve restaurant objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with management and convey employee concerns objectively.
  • Report daily kitchen operations and issues to the General Manager.
  • Work closely with subordinates to ensure smooth communication and information flow.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Culinary Arts Diploma or Certified Chef de Cuisine.
  • 810 years of experience managing a fast-paced kitchen, with prior leadership in a similar environment.
  • Experience in Mediterranean and French cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
