JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Director, Strategy & Business Transformation serves as a key leader within CCAD, driving the organization’s strategic vision, market growth, and operational excellence. The role focuses on shaping long-term strategies, fostering innovative partnerships, and optimizing clinical and operational processes to achieve organizational objectives. Reporting to [Chief Operation Officer], this role plays a pivotal role in positioning CCAD as a leader in the healthcare sector.

Oversee budgets related to Business Transformation, Strategic Planning, and Transformation initiatives.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

Education

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in strategy, business transformation, or healthcare operations.
  • Proven track record of driving large-scale transformation initiatives in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, performance improvement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with the Middle East healthcare market and regulatory landscape.

Certification and Licensure

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other performance improvement methodologies.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Transformation

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive market intelligence framework to analyze competitive dynamics, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new services, partnerships, and geographic expansion.
  • Lead a dynamic outreach team to build strong, sustainable relationships with current and potential referral partners, ensuring alignment with CCAD’s strategic priorities.
  • Develop strategic proposals and business cases for high-impact projects, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Strategy Development and Execution

  • Spearhead the formulation, communication, and execution of CCAD’s long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with global and local healthcare priorities.
  • Foster collaboration with CCAD leadership, Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF), M42, and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and actionable strategies.
  • Translate strategic goals into operational plans with measurable outcomes and oversee their execution across all departments.
  • Monitor global healthcare trends to ensure CCAD’s strategy remains forward-thinking and competitive.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead the Project Management office to drive initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Champion a culture of excellence by integrating safety, quality, and patient-centered care into transformation projects.
  • Implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes, technologies, and systems across the organization.
  • Oversee the design and execution of performance improvement initiatives that align with CCAD’s strategic priorities.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on strategic opportunities and organizational risks.
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams across business development, strategy, and transformation functions.
  • Represent CCAD in external forums, conferences, and partnerships to strengthen the organization’s market presence and reputation.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.

ROLE LEVEL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Adheres to CCAD’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within CCAD, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, operate audiovisual equipment used during training programs, physically move, lift and carry training equipment and materials, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD, stand in front of an audience for up to eight (8) hours a day and lift up to 30 lbs.
