Job Purpose:
To provide technical and operational administration across IT infrastructure, data centre server hardware, software systems, and data networks, while supervising day-to-day IT operations and supporting the IT Manager in delivering high-quality, timely, and reliable services to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
IT Infrastructure and Business Support
- Provide technical support for IT infrastructure components including servers, hardware, software platforms, and data networks to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor and manage service requests and incidents through the IT service desk system, ensuring accurate logging, prioritization, documentation, and timely resolution in accordance with defined service standards.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure-related hardware and software issues and escalate complex cases to appropriate subject-matter experts when required.
- Maintain and administer Windows-based infrastructure environments, including system configurations, updates, and performance optimization.
- Perform data backup procedures and support disaster recovery readiness to safeguard organizational data and ensure continuity.
- Implement and maintain network security controls to protect infrastructure assets, systems, and information.
- Utilize infrastructure monitoring and management tools to track system performance, identify risks, and support stability and uptime.
- Execute routine infrastructure maintenance activities, including system startup/shutdown procedures and maintenance of control records.
- Prepare technical documentation, knowledge base content, and user guidance materials to support service efficiency and end-user understanding.
- Provide timely technical assistance to users and stakeholders, ensuring IT issues related to infrastructure and business systems are addressed effectively.
- Stay current with infrastructure technologies, system enhancements, and application updates to support continuous service improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or Bachelor in Science Degree with IT
Minimum Experience and Skills
- Minimum 02 year's experience in network / infrastructure / hardware
- Proficiency of English (spoken and written)
- Technical Knowledge of Windows Operating System
- Highly analytical
