Job Description

Hiring: Executive Managing Officer (EMO) Solar PV Project

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of a landmark utility-scale solar PV project. As Executive Managing Officer (EMO), you'll oversee project company operations, governance, and stakeholder engagement ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery aligned with Saudi Arabia's clean-energy ambitions.

What you'll do:

  • Direct and manage all aspects of the Project Company's operations, including governance, finance, and stakeholder relations.
  • Ensure full compliance with PPA, EPC, O&M, and financing agreements throughout operation.
  • Provide strategic leadership to achieve safety, reliability, and performance excellence across plant operations.
  • Oversee EPC and O&M contractor performance, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Monitor financial and technical KPIs, ensuring transparency and alignment with Board and lender expectations.
  • Implement strong governance, reporting, and risk-management frameworks.
  • Represent the Project Company with offtakers, lenders, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead HSSE initiatives and sustainability programs, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Manage annual business planning, budgets, audits, and organizational development.
  • Develop and mentor internal teams, driving efficiency, accountability, and talent retention.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years experience in power generation or renewable energy, including at least 5 years in senior executive or project company leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IPP structures, project finance, and long-term asset management.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale solar PV or renewable infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and Board-level communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial, technical, and governance capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-building abilities.
