Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage global empty container inventory and flow, ensuring adequate supply in high-demand areas and timely evacuation from surplus regions.
- Analyze and execute cost-effective empty container repositioning strategies (Dry, Reefer, and Special units), manage specialized unit demand, and review global off-hire performance.
- Monitor Regional Headquarters (RHQ) container flow to ensure alignment with Global Headquarters (GHQ) KPIs, and develop strategic countermeasures to drive performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Trade, Marketing, Vessel Operations, Network, Terminal, and Inland) to optimize equipment flow and minimize cost exposure.
- Facilitate and participate in regular meetings with RHQs, SYM, and Senior Management to align on operational objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for GHQ, RHQ, and local teams regarding all container flow-related matters.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks and strategic assignments as delegated by the Head of Department.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related analytical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (container equipment inventory control management experience preferred, but those without direct experience are welcome to apply).
- Proficient in MS Office and Google applications.
- Good data handling and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
