You will engage directly with senior stakeholders of world-renowned organizations, advising on complex business issues, risk mitigation strategies, and performance improvement. Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Quality
- Lead and manage internal audit, risk, and consulting assignments independently.
- Assess and improve internal controls and operational processes across NRE operations (e.g., exploration, drilling, production, refining, petrochemicals, logistics and services).
- Deliver insights through structured reports, audit programs, planning memos, and risk analyses.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies, compliance gaps, and risk areas.
- Monitor project progress and ensure high-quality deliverables within timelines and budgets.
Market & Sector Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders.
- Drive business development activities and sector-specific pursuits.
- Actively contribute to positioning the firm as a thought leader in the NRE sector.
- Collaborate with global sector teams to develop market-relevant strategies and offerings.
Innovation & Digital Enablement
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (IoT, AI, Analytics, Robotics) in client solutions.
- Support the development of digital tools and sector-specific assets to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovation to inform client engagements.
Team Development & Leadership
- Mentor and coach junior team members; guide performance and career development.
- Lead sector-specific upskilling programs and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Oversee performance and appraisal processes of direct reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, or Internal Controls, preferably within top-tier consulting & advisory firms.
- Deep functional expertise in the NRE sector (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream), including areas such as:
- Exploration, drilling, refining, and production processes
- Mega project capex and regulatory reviews
- EHS assessments, project controls, and contract management
- Plant operations, maintenance, and reliability
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Metallurgy); advanced degrees preferred.
- At least one relevant certification, such as:
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- SO Auditor Certifications
- API, IMS or other relevant industry certifications
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
- Willingness and ability to travel for client engagements as needed.
