Job Purpose
Provide subject matter expertise and strategic support across pioneering, research, studies, knowledge and innovation to advance RTA goals and future readiness, ensuring excellence requirements, awards participation, partnerships and labs are implemented effectively and measured for continuous advancement.
Roles And Responsibilities
Strategy
- Provide vision and strategic support across pioneering, research, studies, knowledge, innovation, and creativity to achieve RTA goals and future development.
- Plan excellence requirements and awards participation; advise on projects and initiatives to achieve highest excellence and continuous advancement.
- Co-develop the comprehensive management plan; supervise implementation, periodic measurement, and best-practice recommendations.
- Support sustainable implementation of strategies in research, development and innovation, ensuring compliance with Authority policies.
- Track global trends and competitive indicators; align organizational units plans and initiatives to secure leadership positions.
- Propose initiatives to meet Dubai Excellence Program requirements and sustain first positions
across award categories.
- Advise on framework to attract startups and pioneers and evaluating implementation to sustain leadership
Operations
- Advise the director on specialized matters; provide professional and technical guidance.
- Implement plans and programs for research, innovation, partnerships and pioneering practices; manage the central database for research, innovations, IP and partnerships.
- Develop and activate mechanisms to measure and monitor maturity in innovation, research, partnerships and excellence.
- Lead planning and implementation of innovation/leadership projects: prepare scopes, select consultants, and follow implementation stages.
- Provide technical support to implement all excellence programs in line with leadership expectations.
- Supervise self-evaluation and simulations against excellence standards; analyze results and implement corrective measures to ensure program readiness.
- Evaluate consultant and service-provider work for innovation and leadership as well as support external research partnerships and strategic research center relations.
- Prepare, develop and implement innovation laboratory plans, institutional research plans and partnership plans; manage labs, inventory outputs and maximize their use.
Product/Process Improvement
- Provide expertise on supportive policies, manuals and processes and technical advice in developing and managing the intellectual planning management system at the authority level.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Science/ Business Administration
12+ years in case of Master's degree (14+ years in case of Bachelor's degree)
Must have experience in DGEP or EFQM
