Job Summary
The Export Compliance Analyst independently supports and executes key elements of the company's export control and trade compliance program. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing compliance reports, monitoring export activities, and ensuring adherence to applicable export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other international trade requirements. The analyst provides guidance on routine compliance matters and supports audits, investigations, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit export compliance reports and metrics for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze export transaction data to identify trends, risks, and potential compliance issues
- Maintain and audit export compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct and document restricted party screening and embargoed country reviews
- Track export licenses, license conditions, exemptions, and reporting obligations
- Support internal, customer, and government audits and inquiries
- Assist in investigating potential export control violations and documenting findings
- Interpret and apply export control regulations to business activities
- Support updates to compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Provide guidance and training support to business partners on basic export compliance requirements
- Participate in compliance risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in export control, trade compliance, or related regulatory roles
- Strong working knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and UAE export control regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing transactional and reporting data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and compliance or ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Familiarity with export licensing and license exception usage
- Experience with compliance screening tools and ERP systems (e.g Oracle)
