Job Description

The Export Manager is responsible for developing international business opportunities, opening new markets, and managing end-to-end export operations. This role requires strong commercial acumen, deep market intelligence, and well-established relationships across key regions. The Export Manager will ensure seamless export processes, optimize logistics, and drive sustainable revenue growth in global markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development & Sales Expansion

- Identify, evaluate, and open new markets to expand the company's international footprint.

- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow sales across assigned territories.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key accounts in:

Guinea, Gambia, Ghana, Congo, Chad, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya.

- Conduct competitor analysis and feasibility studies to support decision-making.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms aligned with company objectives.

2. Market Intelligence

- Conduct continuous market research to understand trends, customer needs, pricing dynamics, and competitive activity.

- Prepare market intelligence reports and forecasts to support strategic planning.

- Identify risks, opportunities, and regulatory changes in targeted markets.

3. Export Operations & Logistics

- Manage full export operations, ensuring timely and compliant shipment of goods.

- Coordinate with logistics providers and internal teams regarding:

port connections, ocean freight, domestic transportation, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.

- Monitor shipment status, resolve transit issues, and ensure on-time delivery.

- Optimize logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.

4. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure all export activities comply with international trade laws, sanctions, and local market regulations.

- Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and regulatory requirements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with sales, finance, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment on customer orders and export timelines.

- Support production planning by providing accurate market forecasts and demand insights.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Proven experience as an Export Manager or International Sales Manager.

- Strong network and relationships in West Africa, Middle East, and South Asia markets.

- Excellent knowledge of export procedures, logistics, ports, and freight operations.

- Strong market intelligence and analytical skills.

- Ability to negotiate and manage high-value contracts.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to travel internationally as required.

- Fluency in English; additional languages (Arabic, French) are a plus.
