Role Description The EYFS Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with EYFS curriculum standards, ensuring that learning is child-centered and developmentally appropriate. Daily responsibilities include creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment, observing and assessing children's progress, and maintaining accurate records of learning and development. The teacher will communicate regularly with families, collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives, and contribute to extra-curricular and enrichment activities. Additional duties include participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as part of the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and child development principles, with experience in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Classroom management and pastoral care skills, including the ability to create an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment for young children.
  • Assessment and observation skills, including the ability to track progress, document learning, and use data to inform teaching and support individual needs.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with pupils, families, and colleagues, including clear written and spoken English.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and/or degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field; recognized teaching certification is highly advantageous.
  • Experience teaching in international or multicultural school settings is beneficial, with openness to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to professional growth, reflective practice, and participation in school life beyond the classroom, including extra-curricular activities.
  • Proficiency with basic educational technology and digital tools to support teaching, learning, and communication.
