Key responsibilities include identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, analysing market trends, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management:Research, evaluate, and select vendors, and manage supplier performance and relationships.
- Negotiation & Contracting:Negotiate prices, terms, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective, high-quality sourcing.
- Procurement Operations:Process Purchase Requests (PRs), manage Purchase Orders (POs), and oversee inventory levels.
- Market Analysis:Track cost drivers, commodity price trends, and market factors to forecast and optimize spending.
- Quality Compliance:Ensure all products adhere to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and company quality requirements.
- Reporting:Prepare reports on procurement activities, price fluctuations, and budget adherence for management.
Requirements:
- Experience:35 years in F&B sourcing, procurement, or purchasing, preferably within hospitality or retail.
- Knowledge:Strong understanding of F&B cost management, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
- Skills:Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills, with proficiency in procurement software and Excel.
- Education:Degree in Hospitality, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
Typical Qualifications:
Proficiency in English; knowledge of local suppliers is often required.
Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume purchasing.
