JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review piping & structural fabric maintenance scopes from project draft work instructions / packs.
- Providing additional information for work instructions / packs, such as access requirements, manning & durations.
- Mark up item parts at site for Repair / Replace structural items & FMU's or FMCs to proceed also give clear scope identification, prior to execution from FM contractor.
- Review / sign off on the Surface Preparation Release Certificate for each item relating to Pressure Systems & Live Equipment.
- Working closely with FM Contractor supervisors to ensure that the work scopes are clearly understood by all involved.
- Guide / direct each FM team daily to ensure that work is carried out safely / efficiently.
- Carry out any Holding Coat & QA / QC training to ensure each FM individual meets our standards / expectations.
- Carry out independent QA / QC checks on all FM work fronts, capturing both surface preparation & paint applications which is in line with the DP-PC-1 paint specification.
- Carry out site visits & close out reports on completed items relating to gratings, handrails & deck plates, report back findings onshore.
- Work closely with the Construction Superintendents & operations.
- Liaise with onshore FM Lead Engineer / Team daily.
- Carry out QA / QC as and when directed by the FM Coordinator / Lead Engineer.
- Review & sign off on each close out inspection report, send onshore to FM Coordinator / Lead Engineer for final closing out with the anomaly / MCDR management system.
- Sign off all work instruction / pack, then submit back onshore.
- Measure / report progress daily through the Construction Superintendent / FM Coordinator / Lead Engineer.

- Close-out review of anomalies or completed FM activities
- Compile reports of inspections as per company requirements, templates.
- Report daily progress on all FM related activities to FM Lead Engineer.
- Carry out review of surface preparation release certificates as directed by the Client.
- Carry out supervision of Fabric Maintenance activities on static mechanical equipment, piping,
- risers, cranes and structures – monitor condition, perform survey if necessary.
Qualifications

- Valid Offshore Safety Training Certificate (OPITO), IMIST (E)

Experience
E- Essential, P- Preferred
- Minimum 10 years coating inspection / QA/QC experience in the oil and gas industry (E)
- Minimum 5 years experience as Fabric Maintenance Inspector or Supervisor in a regulated
offshore oil & gas environment in either North Sea, Europe, USA/Gulf of Mexico or Australia. (E)
- Experience as Offshore Fabric Maintenance surveyor, verification, close-up of FM project (E)
- Proficient in Windows Operating system, MS Office – Word and Excel (E)
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) (E)
- Understanding of basic corrosion and corrosion protection principles (E)
- Ability to create and/or interpret various types of structural and piping technical drawings (e.g. general arrangements, P&IDs, piping isometrics, structural drawings) (E)
- Ability to interface at all levels including client and senior management (E)

Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.
Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water. Remote work site with camp accommodation, facilities. Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment. Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels, and the light is intense/glare. Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases. Work surface is stable, height is elevated. Confined space or cramped spaces. Travel could be by ferry, workboat, taxi, train, bus, plane, helicopter. Work at height from elevated platforms or scaffold. Use of hand tools, gauges and meters.
