Job Summary
The Facade Solutions Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical solutions for building facades, including curtain walls, aluminum systems, glazing, and architectural cladding. The role involves collaborating with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that facade systems meet project specifications, performance standards, and aesthetic requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Design & Engineering
- Develop facade system solutions including curtain walls, aluminum windows and doors, unitized systems, and cladding systems.
- Review architectural drawings and specifications to propose suitable facade systems.
- Prepare shop drawings, technical submittals, and system details.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
2. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project managers.
- Provide technical support during design development and construction stages.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss facade design and installation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 37 years of experience in facade engineering, aluminum systems, or curtain wall systems.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Aluminum facade systems
- Curtain wall systems
- Glazing and cladding systems
- Building envelope performance
Skills Required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and facade design software.
- Strong understanding of building facade technologies and materials.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze drawings and provide technical solutions.
- Problem-solving and value engineering capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Revit / BIM modeling.
- Knowledge of international facade standards
- Experience working with aluminum system suppliers and facade contractors.
Work Environment
- Office-based with regular site visits to monitor facade installation and project progress
