Facade technical office Section Head

Role Description The Facade Technical Office Section Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role oversees facade technical office activities, including reviewing designs, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. The Section Head coordinates with design, engineering, procurement, and site teams to resolve technical issues, optimize facade solutions, and support project execution. Responsibilities include preparing and updating technical documentation, supervising the preparation of BOQs and cost estimates, and ensuring accurate coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. The role also involves leading a technical team, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and technical support to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to review technical documents, assess design alternatives, and solve complex facade-related issues.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors, and to prepare clear reports and presentations.
• Candidates should possess technical support skills to provide guidance on facade systems, materials, installation methods, and quality standards to project and site teams.
• Candidates should possess team management skills to lead, mentor, and coordinate technical office staff, manage workloads, and maintain organized workflows.
• Candidates should possess training skills to develop team capabilities, share best practices, and support continuous improvement in technical processes.
• Relevant experience in facade engineering, building envelopes, or architectural detailing, preferably in medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in technical drawing and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
