Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Mercedes Benz

Objective:

This role is responsible for supervising, evaluating, developing, and maintaining efficient and smooth operations across all work-related premises, as well as staff company accommodations, to maximize service delivery.

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is involved in all upcoming facilities expansion and upgrading projects as directed by the direct manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures assigned internal or outsourced resources are in proper working order and available for efficient and effective use as per operational requirements.
• Supervises and oversees the maintenance of physical spaces and ensures a safe and clean working environment.
• Reviews and processes work order requests thoroughly and ensures problems are resolved quickly.
• Acts as a liaison between concerned staff and external authorities or contractors when needed to resolve specialized problems.
• Finalizes drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and civil-purpose equipment.
• Ensures safety standards are followed throughout the facilities in accordance with Kuwait law and Company standards, and assigns competent subordinates to complete these tasks.
• Plans, designs, and participates in the emergency preparedness planning team.
• Works closely with the Group's respective departments to apply for or assist with applications for required environmental permits and approved quality standards.
• Manages and maintains an inventory of supplies and reorders as needed.
• Ensures compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) norms across all premises.
• Contributes to the department's development by providing timely suggestions and feedback.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; valid Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership card is required.

Recommended Experience:

• 5–7 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a relevant technical field.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry or dealership facilities is a strong advantage.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and managing third-party contractors preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or facility management software to create and maintain operational reports.
• Physically fit to carry out functional activities related to the department.
• Strong problem solving skills with a results oriented approach
• Excellent teamwork, people management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to monitor and evaluate staff and activities.
