1. Job Purpose
The Soft Services Officer (UAE National Applicant Only) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all soft services operations within the museum premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, waste management, pest control, landscaping, and related services. The role ensures service excellence, compliance with health and safety standards, and alignment with the museum's operational and visitor experience objectives.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily soft services operations including housekeeping, cleaning, waste management, pest control, and landscaping.
- Oversee third-party contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and museum standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of public areas, galleries, offices, back-of-house spaces, and external areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with Security, Visitor Services, Events, and other departments to support operational requirements and special events.
- Review contractor performance reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards and policies.
- Support budgeting processes, review invoices, and verify service delivery against contractual agreements.
- Maintain documentation including inspection reports, incident logs, risk assessments, and compliance records.
- Participate in operational readiness activities for new exhibitions, events, or facility changes.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, cost optimization, and sustainability enhancements.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Required experience 0 - 2 years of in soft services or facilities management operations.
- Experience working in museums, cultural institutions, hospitality, or large public venues is preferred.
- Strong understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and contractor management.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and facilities management systems.
4. Working Conditions
The role requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, public holidays, and event-based schedules, in line with museum operational requirements.
