Work Location: Kozzika - Cairo

Reporting to: Project Manager

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, safety, and readiness of all project facilities supporting the railway cars project.

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, safety, and readiness of all project facilities supporting the railway cars project.

The role ensures that buildings, utility services, equipment, workspaces, and support services are maintained efficiently to meet operational, safety, and contractual requirements.

Job Description

  • Manage daily facility operations and support services.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems and utilities.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of depot equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for facility-related works.
  • Monitor safety, housekeeping, security, and emergency preparedness.
  • Track facility budgets, consumables, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and project requirements.
  • Support project teams with workspace, storage, and operational needs.
  • Prepare reports on facility status, maintenance activities, and service performance.

Qualifications

  • Training equivalent to engineering and specialty rolling stock.
  • Master Railway Systems is valuable.
  • English level equivalent to B2.
  • Advanced user level knowledge of Office: Excel and Word
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and civil systems.
  • Maintenance planning and contractor coordination training.
  • CAF EM will support with training in the logistics process, use of the ERP Baan system or SAP and CAF processes in general.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, building operations, or maintenance supervision.
  • Experience in industrial, railway, infrastructure, or large-scale project environments is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors and service providers.
  • Prior exposure to safety and compliance responsibilities.
