Job Description

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and motivated Faculty Member in Community Nursing to join the Nursing Program. The role focuses on delivering high-quality academic and clinical education, promoting community health practices, and preparing nursing students to provide patient-centered care across diverse community and public health settings.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Clinical Education

  • Deliver Community Nursing lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training
  • Supervise students during community and public health clinical rotations
  • Facilitate case-based learning, health promotion activities, and community assessment projects
  • Teach evidence-based nursing practices related to community and public health care
  • Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
  • Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and clinical evaluations
  • Maintain accurate academic and clinical records

Student Support & Development

  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to nursing students
  • Support development of health education, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback

Research & Scholarly Activities

  • Participate in research, academic conferences, and scholarly activities
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement

Academic Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, committees, and program reporting
  • Submit course files and required academic documentation on time

Community Engagement

  • Participate in healthcare awareness campaigns, outreach initiatives, and public health programs aligned with the college mission
  • Support partnerships with healthcare centers, schools, and community organizations

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Nursing with specialization in Community Nursing / Public Health Nursing
  • Valid professional nursing license/registration
  • Clinical experience in community or public health nursing required
  • Teaching experience in nursing education preferred
  • Familiarity with simulation-based teaching and educational technologies
  • Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital learning platforms
