Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to design, develop, and enhance diving apparel and accessories for the marine industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating functional, safe, comfortable, and aesthetically appealing products such as wetsuits, drysuits, rash guards, diving uniforms, and protective marine wear while ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop diving apparel, including wetsuits, dry suits, rash guards, buoyancy aid garments, and marine uniforms.

Create design concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes for diving products.

Research market trends, materials, colors, and innovations in marine and water sports apparel.

Select appropriate fabrics and materials such as neoprene, waterproof textiles, thermal insulation materials, and protective coatings.

Collaborate with product development, engineering, and production teams to ensure product functionality and manufacturability.

Ensure products comply with marine safety standards and customer specifications.

Conduct fit analysis, wear trials, and product testing to evaluate comfort, durability, thermal protection, and performance underwater.

Prepare detailed technical specification sheets, measurement charts, and production documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding fabric sourcing, trims, and sample development.

Monitor product quality throughout the sampling and production stages.

Participate in customer meetings to understand requirements and customize diving apparel solutions.

Continuously improve existing products based on customer feedback and industry developments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably in sportswear, performance wear, marine wear, or diving equipment manufacturing.

Knowledge of technical textiles, neoprene materials, waterproof fabrics, and garment construction.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or CAD tools.

Strong understanding of pattern making, grading, and garment fit.

Familiarity with marine, diving, or water sports equipment is an added advantage.
