Job Description

Job Purpose

The Feed Formulator is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing animal feed formulations that meet nutritional requirements, regulatory standards, and production feasibility. The role supports customers, production teams, and commercial objectives by ensuring high-quality feed performance, compliance, and continuous product improvement through research, trials, and innovation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to animal nutrition, feed performance, and formulation suitability.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize feed formulas to meet nutritional, cost, and performance objectives.
  • Address production challenges by developing alternative ingredient solutions while maintaining feed quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all feed formulations and revisions.
  • Provide technical recommendations for product improvement based on performance data, trials, and market feedback.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable feed regulations and standards within the relevant markets.
  • Support the registration process of feed products with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure feed labels are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate feed trials in collaboration with universities, customers, and research institutions to validate feed performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience working with regulatory requirements and feed labeling standards.
  • Strong knowledge of animal nutrition principles and raw materials.
  • Ability to formulate cost-effective, high-performance feed solutions.
  • Understanding of feed regulations, product registration, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret feed trials and performance data.
  • Good documentation, reporting, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with customers and cross-functional teams.
