We are currently looking to hire a Fiber Optic Cable Specialist

Location: Eastern, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Routing:

Laying and pulling fiber optic cables in trenches, through conduits, or on utility poles.

2. Splicing & Termination:

Performing precision fusion splicing (using a machine to melt fiber ends together) or

mechanical splicing, and installing connectors (SC, LC, FC) at termination points.

3. Testing & Diagnostics:

Using specialized tools like OTDRs (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers), power

meters, and light sources to verify signal strength, integrity, and loss budgets.

4. Troubleshooting & Repair:

Identifying, isolating, and fixing network faults, including repairing broken lines or

replacing old cabling.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Technical Knowledge:

Understanding fiber optic color codes, signal propagation, and cable types

Expertise with fusion splicers, cleavers, cable strippers, and testing equipment.

Ability to work at heights (using ladders or bucket trucks) and in confined

spaces (manholes or crawl spaces).

Strong manual dexterity for handling fragile fibers and distinguishing colors.

Ability to lift heavy equipment, often up to 50–70 lbs.

Comfortable working in shifts

Education:

High school diploma: vocational training or an associate degree in telecommunications is

Certifications

Relevant vendor certifications (AFL, Fujikura, Commscope or equivalent) for Fiber optic

cabling installation and splicing
