Job Description (JDS / Responsibilities)
- Perform fiber-optic splicing (fusion & mechanical) for OSP/ISP networks.
- Conduct OTDR testing, power meter tests, and verify fiber link performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber and copper cables.
- Prepare cables: stripping, cleaving, joint closures, patch panels, termination.
- Handle fiber distribution panels, splitters, enclosures, and underground ducts.
- Read and interpret fiber layout drawings, OSP maps, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot faults and provide quick restoration support.
- Ensure work is completed following safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site supervisors.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Certificate in Telecom / Electrical / Fiber Optics.
- Minimum 25 years experience in fiber splicing (ISP/OSP).
- Strong experience with:
- Fusion Splicer machines
- OTDR
- Power Meter
- Fiber Identifiers
- Knowledge of OSP/ISP installation and maintenance.
- Ability to work in the field & at elevated locations when required.
- Valid/transferable Iqama (for KSA-based candidates).
