Fiber Optic Technology Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Technology Engineer to support advanced well surveillance and monitoring operations within the oil & gas sector.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), or Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) technologies used for downhole monitoring, production surveillance, well intervention, reservoir monitoring, or hydraulic fracturing diagnostics.

• Experience with DAS, DTS, DFOS or distributed sensing technologies in oil & gas applications
• Knowledge of fiber deployment, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience with OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fiber termination, or interrogator systems
• Background in well surveillance, completions, intervention, production monitoring, or reservoir monitoring
• Ability to mobilise to field locations and support operational activities
• Engineering qualification preferred
  
  

Experience with companies such as: SLB, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Expro, Silixa, OptaSense, AP Sensing, Fotech, Bandweaver, Sensornet, Yokogawa, Omnisens, or similar distributed sensing organisations.

This is an Oil & Gas fiber sensing role. Candidates with telecommunications, ISP, data centre, FTTH, cabling, networking, or general telecom fiber optics experience only will not be considered.
