Role Overview
A Field Coach is responsible for supporting retail store teams by providing on-the-job coaching, training, and performance guidance to improve sales, customer service, and operational standards. The role involves regularly visiting stores, observing team performance, and ensuring brand standards and retail excellence are maintained across locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Coaching & Performance Improvement
- Provide hands-on coaching to store teams to improve sales performance and conversion rates.
- Identify skill gaps and support employees with practical sales techniques.
- Monitor KPIs such as sales targets, ATV (Average Transaction Value), and conversion rates.
2. Training & Development
- Conduct in-store training sessions for sales associates and store managers.
- Support onboarding and training of new employees.
- Ensure teams understand product knowledge, brand storytelling, and selling techniques.
3. Store Visits & Audits
- Conduct regular field visits across retail locations.
- Evaluate store performance, merchandising standards, and customer service quality.
- Provide feedback and improvement plans to store teams.
4. Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent high standards of customer service across all stores.
- Train teams on client engagement and relationship building.
- Support stores in handling customer feedback and improving service delivery.
5. Collaboration with Management
- Work closely with Retail Managers and Store Managers to drive performance.
- Share field insights and improvement strategies with the leadership team.
- Support implementation of new retail initiatives and campaigns.
Key Skills & Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in retail sales, retail training, or retail operations
- Strong sales coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in luxury retail / fashion / watches / jewelry is an advantage
- Ability to travel frequently between stores
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and customer service standards
