Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on catwalks and bucking units to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in PLC systems, including input/output modules,
communication networks, and control logic
Maintain and troubleshoot Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, including resolving system freezes, restarts, and communication failures
Diagnose and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) used in motors controlling conveyors, rollers, and bucking unit rotation systems
Perform electrical maintenance on motors, sensors, encoders, limit switches, solenoid valves, relays, and control panels
Support maintenance and troubleshooting of torque-turn systems, ensuring accurate make-up and break-out operations
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical safety systems, including emergency stops (E-stops), interlocks, alarms, and protective devices
Conduct routine equipment inspections and functional testing to identify potential failures before they occur.
Perform fault finding on power distribution systems, including breakers, contactors, transformers, and junction boxes
Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
Carry out cable termination, wiring, and panel modifications as required during maintenance or upgrades
Assist in rig-up, commissioning, rig-down, and mobilization/demobilization of catwalk and bucking unit equipment
Ensure compliance with Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and Permit to Work systems during all maintenance activities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment
Repair electrical equipment such as panel lighting, circuit breakers, junction boxes, voltage regulators and reverse current relays
Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment
Read and analyze electrical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
Repair or replace defective or worn electrical parts
Troubleshoot miscellaneous electrical equipment
Foresee potential equipment malfunctions or failures and preforms required repairs, adjustments or modification to resolve the problem
Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment
Ensure availability of critical electrical spare parts, and initiate material requests when required
Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for major equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and operational disruption
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and equipment condition at all times.
Comply with all HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment and zero harm to personnel and equipment
Provide technical support and guidance to junior personnel when required
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager in line with business requirements
Bachelors/Diploma in Engineering
Must possess and maintain certifications and licenses necessary as required by the appropriate regulatory authorities
Must possess mathematical skills required for certification as an Electrician
Must have proficient knowledge of diagnostic equipment
Must be able to obtain appropriate offshore or, onshore certifications
Should have at least 6 years of work experience in maintaining electrical equipment
Knowledgeable and proficient in basic rigger's role to ensure safe lifting operations are performed
Knowledgeable of electrical systems and be skilled at working with hand and power tools
