We are looking for a proactive and safety-minded Field Service Technician to join our team!

As a Field Service Technician, you will provide on-site support and standard maintenance services for a variety of Kalmar and other brands counterbalance and mobile equipment—such as reachstackers, heavy forklifts, empty container handlers, terminal tractors, and similar. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment at customer locations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective service.

What Are Your Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Service and Support: Responsible for safety, service execution in terms of quality and on time, and professionalism. Perform installation/commissioning, preventive maintenance, and equipment repairs at customer sites, and diagnose/troubleshoot technical issues to determine necessary repairs and provide timely, effective solutions.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their service needs, provide training to customers on proper equipment use and maintenance, and maintain a positive relationship through highly professional interactions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and submit service and safety reports and documentation in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of service calls, including details of repairs and parts used. Provide technical feedback to the global product technical team regarding recurring issues and potential improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools required for service calls, and order/replenish supplies as needed to ensure availability for future service tasks.
  • Compliance and Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations. Work independently and manage your time efficiently to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Education: Minimum IT graduate in Electrical, Automotive, Mechanical engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in container handling and heavy industrial equipment mechanical & electrical troubleshooting and repairs (including motors, controls, CAN BUS, electronic control, HVAC, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, structural, engine, transmission, and drive axle systems).
  • Electrical Advantage: A strong electrical background (circuit reading, CAN Bus, control units, and PLC) in container handling and heavy industrial equipment (Kalmar/non-Kalmar) is a distinct advantage.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours to meet customer on-site needs.
  • Language & Communication: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • UAE Driver's License: A valid UAE driver's license is a plus.
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude and a good learner.
  • A results-oriented self-starter and collaborative team player dedicated to driving efficiency and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Good communication with customers and a focus on providing exceptional service.
