Role Overview

We are looking for experienced and motivated Field Service Technicians (FSTs) to join our team in Dubai Airport, U.A.E. In this role, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for Rapiscan X-ray screening systems across the UAE/MEA region.

Responsibilities

You will be at the forefront of customer serviceinstalling, diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex X-ray and trace systems.

You will also assist L3 Field Service Engineers (FSEs) with daily operational tasks. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position where no two days are the same, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with end users while training them on system operation and maintenance.

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting and repairs on X-ray and trace systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Preventive & Corrective Work: Carry out scheduled maintenance and respond to callouts under FSE/TL supervision.
  • Diagnostics & Fault Resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Technical Reporting: Provide clear written and verbal reports, escalating complex issues (Level 3) to FSEs and site leads.
  • Installation Support: Assist with system setup, configuration, and initial testing during deployment phases.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards while on-site.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, or Mechatronics.
  • 46 years of experience in a field service environment; X-ray industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in airports or security checkpoints is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of electronic and mechanical assemblies, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently in challenging and remote environments, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Skilled in using power tools and hand tools.
