Job Title:- Field Specialist III - Drilling Fluids (FLD)

Role Type :- Contract
Role Summary:-
Drilling Fluids Engineer (Mud Engineer) responsible for running drilling fluids operation at the rig site from drilling surface-hole sections to completing and delivering the well.
Essential Responsibilities:-
- Forecast, order, and maintain drilling fluid chemicals stock at the rig site to avoid disturbance in operation.
- Ensuring drilling fluid is mixed properly as per the drilling fluid program specifications.
- Always maintaining fluid volumes to avoid operation disturbance.
- To maintain fluid properties while drilling as per drilling fluid program by performing fluid testing at the laboratory and recommending chemical treatment and practices.
- To stay on top of communications between rig crew, client, and office.
- To run hydraulic simulations and share daily reports and end of well recaps.
- To provide all the support needed related to any fluid activity at the rig site especially when encountering hole problems.
Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-
- Years of experience: More than 5 years.
- Field of experience: Offshore experience in KSA of more than 5 years.
- Technical Skills: Competent in high performance WBM, OBM, Heavy Brines, Specialty chemicals, Engineering Software
- Soft Skills: High communication skills with the client, fluent English in speaking and writing
- Tools or Software (Required / Preferred): Daily Reporting Software, Hydraulic Simulation Software
- Education Qualifications: Batchelor's in Engineering or Science
- Industry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): Worked as a Mud engineer in KSA Offshore for more than 5 years, have experience with Drilling problems commonly faced in KSA
- Target Companies: Preferred someone with Premium Mud company experience
- Off-limits Companies: NA
- Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Driving License: Basic & Advance Mud School, passed Aramco interview as Critical Mud Engineer.
Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-
7-year experience in KSA Offshore
Experience in Flat Rheology OBM systems
Platform batch drilling from surface hole sections experience
