Akkodis is seeking a Field Support Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a global leader in engineering and R&D, we are looking for a technical expert to manage critical infrastructure across 20 sites in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Perform daily supervision of infrastructure, COTS hardware, and radio equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct initial diagnosis of hardware/software issues and provide clear technical logs to back-office teams.
- Maintenance: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, including hardware replacements and software updates.
- Automation & Linux: Support systems in a Linux-based environment using Ansible automation playbooks.
- Reporting: Produce incident reports and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3+ years in field or technical support roles, preferably within Defense or critical infrastructure.
- Technical Core: Mandatory experience with Linux-based systems and knowledge of radio communication principles.
- Automation Tools: Exposure to Ansible or similar automation tools for executing predefined tasks.
- Hardware/Networking: Understanding of RF equipment and hardware/software integration.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license for site visits across the UAE.
- Languages: Fluent in English. Proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
