Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounting Officer to join our team in Riyadh, KSA, on behalf of our customer, a leading organization in the energy sector. The successful candidate will manage the accounting operations of the customer's KSA branch, including all tax-related matters, and act as the main point of contact for external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local regulations. The role also involves project cost control, cash flow accuracy, and receivables management, while ensuring full alignment with Saudi financial and tax frameworks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, timely cash recovery, and supporting the overall profitability and operational excellence of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable across all projects and clients.
  • Apply and maintain structured follow-up processes with clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Conduct client meetings to resolve payment delays and disputes and escalate critical issues to management with proposed mitigation actions.
  • Support local day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations and monthly closings.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi tax laws including VAT, Income Tax, and Zakat, in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with KSA regulations and IFRS standards.
  • Be the point of contact with local bank.
  • Track, categorize, and analyze operational branch and project-related expenses
  • Monitor project profitability and investigate margins deviations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for the Riyadh branch.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of proven accounting experience in KSA with proven expertise in local tax laws and financial reporting.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS is plus. Working previously in a multinational environment is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in Arabic and English is a must. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Must be Currently resident in Saudia Arabia and legally authorized to work.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • SAP system knowledge is a plus.
