Primary Job Function:

  • The Finance Controller is responsible for the coordination and consolidation of Commercial financial planning activities and reporting. The purpose is to manage the areas of Sales Planning internal and external reporting to optimize and control the efficient completion of each areas duties and responsibilities, within the general framework of local legislation and Abbott policies and procedures.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full commercial finance operations for the Egypt affiliate, acting as a strategic partner. This includes oversight of controlling, governance, and forwardu2011looking financial decision support.
  • Own core financial processes such as monthu2011end closing reports, LBEs, cost optimization projects, driving business growth and compliance with corporate financial policies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls.
  • Serve as the primary financial decision authority within the Egypt market, overseeing commercial approvals including pricing, discounts, credit assessments, and other operational financial decisions that impact business performance.
  • Manage the Egypt P&L with full accountability for revenue performance, gross margin optimization, operating expense control, and overall financial health of the affiliate.
  • Oversee cash flow and working capital, Accuracy of cash flow forecast, monitoring monthly performance, drive efficiency initiatives, and support continuous improvement in financial performance across commercial operations.

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • University degree with at least 8 years experience in Finance.
  • Excellent written/oral English skills.
  • Financial/Accounting Experience.
  • Strong track record in cost optimization, financial governance, and business partnering
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate within finance as well as to senior management and commercial organization.
  • Excellent data processing, planning and organization skills.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office, including MS Office Excel and PowerPoint as well as other sales related IT systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
