Job Summary
The Finance Executive supports the organization's financial health by managing daily accounting tasks, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure transparent and timely reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial transactions to ensure audit readiness and compliance
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support effective financial planning
- Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary limits and financial policies
- Support audit processes by providing required documentation and clear explanations to auditors
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations such as IRAS and ACRA and uphold internal control standards
- Prepare GST filings and coordinate with tax agents to meet tax obligations accurately and timely
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning to optimize liquidity and working capital management
- Conduct corporate finance and ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic business initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations, processes, and reporting accuracy
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial closure
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, costs, commitments, and obligations for informed decision-making
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to assist strategic planning and organizational decision-making
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and recommending process improvements
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a minimum ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Autocount
- Apply strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles in daily tasks
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role
- Ability to read and write in Chinese to perform revenue/sales receivable, cost and orders reconciliation on the company's main processing system
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills through managing financial data and processes
- Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and auditors
- Utilize familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools to enhance reporting efficiency
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and support business needs
