Finance Executive - Temp | MAF Entertainment | Finance Department
Role Summary
The Finance Executive role is to oversee accurate financial reporting, analyze data for decision-making, and efficiently organize vendor documents. They review purchase requisitions for compliance, reconcile financial records with vendor documentation and ensure adherence to MAF policies and procedures.
ROLE PROFILE
- Review quarterly balance sheet accounts and monthly P&L closings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper allocations.
- Ensure correct application of revenue recognition, inventory, asset management, and cash handling policies.
- Monitor Opex accruals against contracts, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare analytical, variance, and trend reports to support management decision-making.
- Review expenses and spending patterns to drive cost optimization and expenditure control.
- Support internal audits, conduct Control Self-Assessments, and coordinate stock takes and cash verification visits.
- Monitor daily revenue statements, sales transactions, and revenue reconciliations in coordination with Shared Services.
- Participate in PR approval cycles, prepare ad hoc reports, and support additional requests from leadership.
Requirements
- 0-2 years in a similar finance role with strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting, payment reconciliation, numeracy, and financial problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting systems and MS Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and understanding of operational business needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and leadership teams.
