Valid Recruit specialises in recruiting finance professionals across the GCC. Our client is a DIFC-based, Category 3-regulated fintech seeking an experienced Finance Manager.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can own the finance function end to end and deliver clear, accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Monthly Cycle Close

Fully own the monthly and annual reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness
Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and business performance summaries for leadership and stakeholders
Maintain adequate controls, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure audit-ready books at all times

DFSA / DIFC Reporting & Governance Support

Support finance reporting requirements in line with DFSA expectations (as applicable to the firm's regulated activities)
Maintain supporting evidence required for internal governance and external stakeholders as required for audit purposes, as well as regulation
Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process from planning through finalisation.

Statutory, Tax & Compliance

Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements
Manage all UAE tax reporting and communication with the FTA as needed

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Modelling

Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling guidance aligned with business objectives
Develop and maintain financial models for business planning, scenario analysis, and investment cases
Conduct variance analysis and clear commentary on actual performance vs budgets

Cashflow, Treasury & Banking

Develop and maintain cashflow forecasts for management visibility
Manage banking relationships, payment controls, and day-to-day treasury activities

Stakeholder Support (Management / Investors / Regulators)

Support preparation of reporting packs for shareholders/investors and senior management
Provide reliable financial insights to support decision making in a fast-paced environment
Assist with business cases, due diligence requests, and strategic initiatives where required

Qualifications / Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related subject from a reputable university
10+ years experience in finance roles with strong exposure to reporting, controls, and analysis (startup / growth-stage experience is essential)
Experience reporting under DFSA (DIFC) or FSRA (ADGM) standards
Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or an MBA
Exposure to fundraising, banking facilities, and investor reporting
Strong attention to detail, organized and structured approach, and ability to work independently in a lean environment
Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting
Solid experience with UAE VAT and familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax requirements
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
